Meghan Balen has been playing volleyball since she was in the 6th grade. Throughout her entire career at Mount Mercy, Meghan was a starter on the court. As a freshman and sophomore, she was a setter, but in her junior year she transitioned into playing the middle hitter position. In Meghan’s Freshman year on JV, she earned the most improved award, and as a sophomore during her first year on Varsity, she earned the Most Valuable Player award. This past season Meghan was a captain of the varsity volleyball team. Outside of playing for Mount Mercy, Meghan is also a starter on her travel volleyball team - Niagara Frontier. Meghan looks forward to playing middle hitter at Hilbert College and we wish her nothing but the best!

Lacey Sheehan has been playing volleyball since she was in fourth grade. She joined club volleyball (Vikings Volleyball Club) in seventh grade, and her position was Middle Hitter/Blocker. She continued to play this position, as well as the back row, throughout her 4 years at Mount Mercy. In her freshman year, she was named the Most Valuable Player and was one of the captains on the JV team. The summer after Lacey’s freshman year, she went to Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada with her volleyball club team - Vikings Volleyball Club. In her sophomore year, she was moved up to varsity, and in her senior year, she was recognized as Player of the Game for one of the matches. Lacey was named an Honorable Mention All-Catholic selection for volleyball for both her academic and athletic achievements. We wish you the best in everything you do, Lacey!

Meghan & Lacey, congratulations on committing to Hilbert for volleyball. Their team is lucky to have you! Good luck in your academics and athletics!
