Annual Fund

"Through the course of my journey at Mount Mercy Academy, I have been able to develop a strong willingness to advocate for others with a sense of grace and confidence that I would not have been able to exhibit without the guidance of my teachers and peers,” said Alexis Garmong, Class of 2023. “As a student here, I have learned that mercy is more of a way of life than just a single word. Through our well-established principles grounded in traditions and our ability to bring imagination and passion to every situation, I truly believe Mercy girls are exceptionally prepared to make changes in the real world."

The Impact Your Donation Makes

As we welcome the return of students and faculty to Mount Mercy Academy, we match the excitement for a new academic year with the commitment to our school’s long-standing legacy of excellence.

Entering Mount Mercy Academy’s 119th year as an institution, Mercy charisma is still the driving force behind all we do. Our faculty and staff strive every day to empower young women to influence the world through compassionate service and diversified leadership.

Through project-based learning, today’s Mercy girls are applying what they learn in the classroom to meaningful initiatives in our community. Our motto this year is, “Innovation rooted in tradition.” We believe this perfectly portrays our well-rounded approach to education.

On the heels of a global pandemic, Mount Mercy Academy continues to not only adapt, but prosper. With new offerings and a growing enrollment, Mount Mercy Academy is positioned to thrive for years to come.

“Catherine McAuley spent her life educating young women who were in need. It is our obligation

to carry out the mission of her legacy by providing a Mercy education to those who desire it but do not otherwise have the means,” said Michele Sixt Melligan ’92, Head of School.

We want to educate as many young women as possible in the vision of the Sisters of Mercy Foundress Catherine McAuley, but we need your help to keep up the momentum! Mount Mercy Academy aims to raise $200,000 during our 2022-2023 Annual Fund Campaign. A donation to our Annual Fund will directly benefit the young women of Mount Mercy Academy in a variety of ways including security enhancements, program expansions and student scholarships.

With your support, we can give more girls in our community the life-changing opportunity of a Mercy education: rooted in faith, character and integrity.

Alumnae, friends, family and community members, thank you for supporting our fundraising

efforts this academic year and for believing in the Mission of Mercy.
