Admissions Process

The admissions process can be overwhelming. We are here to make the process as easy as possible. Here are the steps to guide you through the process to becoming a Mercy girl!

Admissions Process

1.  Apply to become a part of the class of 2028! 

Click here for the WNY Catholic High School Application. Your application also serves as registration for the Catholic High School Entrance Exam.

2. Discover Mercy!  

Our Discover Mercy Shadow program allows prospective students to visit our school and see what it’s like to be a Mercy Girl. Our shadow days are designed to give eighth grade girls individualized attention while showing everything Mercy has to offer. Our guests will listen to our Student Ambassadors and Mercy faculty talk about the exceptional educational opportunities and the number of sports, clubs and unique programs we offer. Guests will sit in on classes, take a tour of our campus and witness the daily life of a Mercy girl. Don’t miss out on this new and exciting way to experience Mercy!

3. OPEN HOUSE!  

Join us on Thursday, May 2nd for our exciting Annual Spring Open House! Click here for more information and to register your family.

4. Academic Records and Transcript Forms:

You will receive a confirmation email upon completing the application.  This will prompt you to print the application and sign it at the bottom. This acts as the consent to release your daughter's academic records.   Please turn this in to her Current school, and request that 6th, 7th, and most recent 8th grade records be sent to Mount Mercy Academy. (Be sure to include report cards, testing scores, attendance records and any IEP/504 information if that applies) All students are reviewed for acceptance prior to addressing scholarships and financial aid.

5. Scholarship Information:

Visit https://www.mtmercy.org/scholarships to learn about the many scholarships Mount Mercy Academy has to offer.

6. FACTS and Tuition Assistance  

Tuition Assistance is available based on the individual family's calculated financial need. 
 Mount Mercy Academy works with FACTS Grant and Aid application to evaluate financial need. All interested students may complete a confidential online application for tuition assistance.  FACTS will forward their recommendations to the Financial Aid team. The deadline for financial aid applications for students entering Mount Mercy in 2024 is December 20, 2023.

7. Personal School Tours  

We invite you to Mount Mercy Academy to take a guided personal tour of our school. Learn about all of the unique and exciting programs Mercy has to offer. We pride ourselves on our tradition of academic excellence, let us show you how Mercy will mentor your daughter to invent the life she wants to lead! We look forward to meeting you!

8. Request Admissions Information  

Please register to have all of our promotional materials and school information sent to you. We can send the information either electronically, in the US mail or materials can be picked up at Mount Mercy. Mount Mercy is committed to helping you navigate through the high school admissions process. We are here to make your daughter's high school journey exciting and effortless.

Entrance & Scholarship Exam Review Course

Monday, November 6th, Tuesday,  November 7th, Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th, 2023.

​

The Mount Mercy Academy Entrance & Scholarship Exam Review Course will be held prior to the Catholic High School Entrance Exam to help students better prepare for the exam. Students learn hands-on exam strategies, tips and advice for overcoming anxiety and building confidence and an in-depth subject review of math, verbal and quantitative skills. A Practice Exam is given and evaluated and step-by-step coaching on different types of questions is offered. Students are required to attend all four days from 3:30pm until 6pm.  

​Catholic High School Entrance & Scholarship Exam 

At Mount Mercy Academy, the Entrance & Scholarship Exam is more than just a test. We also use the results to award scholarships. The highest scoring student receives a full scholarship for her entire four years at Mercy. There is a $20 fee for the Exam. Your scores are only provided to your first and second choice high schools.

APPLY TO MOUNT MERCY ACADEMY - Make sure your student is registered for the Catholic High School Entrance Exam! Parents complete the online application for admission.

ENTRANCE & SCHOLARSHIP EXAM REVIEW COURSE - Monday, November 6th, Tuesday, November 7th, Wednesday, November 8th and Thursday, November 9th, 2023. 

ENTRANCE & SCHOLARSHIP EXAM - Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 8:15am.

 

DECEMBER

  • Scholarship Applications are due on December 20, 2023.

  • Tuition Assistance Applications are due on December 20, 2023.

 

JANUARY

Acceptance packets, which will include, decision letters, scholarship announcements and tuition assistance awards will be mailed January 18, 2024.

FEBRUARY and MARCH

Ongoing Enrollment Process including appoinments with Guidance Counselors for course selection.
