Entrance & Scholarship Exam

At Mount Mercy Academy, the Entrance & Scholarship Exam is more than just a test. We also use the results to award academic scholarships. The highest scoring student receives a full scholarship for her entire four years at Mount Mercy. There is a $20 fee for the exam. You do not pay this fee if you take the Entrance Exam Review Course at Mount Mercy. Your scores are only provided to your first and second choice high

schools.

Please note, registering for the Catholic High School Entrance Exam also serves as your student's application to Mount Mercy Academy. Arrival at Mount Mercy Academy on exam day is 8:15am, with the test starting promptly at 8:30am.

 

Students will finish around 11:30/12:00pm. Students will need to bring the following:

​

• at least two soft-leaded (#2) pencils, mechanical pencils are not allowed

• a calculator

• $20 exam fee (cash or check payable to Mount Mercy Academy)

• bottle of water if needed, tissues if needed

​

Cell phones are NOT allowed to be used as calculators. Cell phones must be turned off and phones, earbuds, ipods, etc. must be kept in a bag or purse.

IMPORTANT: If your daughter has an IEP or a 504 plan we must receive a copy PRIOR to the exam date to allow for her accommodations.
