Companion Sister Fruit and Fellowship
At Mount Mercy Academy, our students share a unique and cherished bond with the Sisters of Mercy. Many students are paired with a Companion Sister—forming friendships that grow throughout their years at Mercy. Yesterday, following our Ascension Mass, we celebrated this special connection at our annual Companion Sister Fruit and Fellowship event.
The morning was filled with joy as students spent time with the Sisters, sharing breakfast snacks, heartfelt conversations, and moments of faith. It was a beautiful and meaningful gathering, strengthening the bonds between our students and the women who so deeply inspire our Mercy community.
As Catherine McAuley so beautifully said, “Our charity is to be cordial…something that renews, invigorates and warms. Such should be the effect of our love for each other.” This spirit of love and warmth was felt throughout the morning, reminding us of the power of connection, compassion, and community.
We are truly blessed to have the Sisters of Mercy not only next door, but deeply present in our lives. Their presence nurtures our faith and deepens our connection to Catherine McAuley’s legacy. We are incredibly grateful for their love, guidance, and the warm welcome they extend to us always.
