Cross Country


The Mount Mercy Academy Cross Country team completed it season with a First Team All-Catholic runner and a respectable finish at the All-Catholic Meet. Freshman Lauren Seifert (Orchard Park) completed her outstanding freshman season with a sixth place finish, completing the course in a time of 21:45, lowering her best time by a minute. Seifert qualified for the State Championship meet.

Senior Katie Regan (East Aurora) also ran a personal best, finishing in 28th place with a time of 25:38. Sophomore Brynn Leonard (Buffalo) was right behind Regan with a 29th place finish in 25:51, a personal best. Freshman Abby McCarthy (Hamburg) was the next Magic runner to finish, placing 31st with a personal best. Teammates Addison Barth (Hamburg) placed 33rd and Maura Dougherty (Buffalo) was 34th, both clocking their best times of the year.


Soccer


The Mount Mercy Academy Soccer team lost a heartbreaking championship game to Mount Saint Mary 1-0. The Magic battled hard, but were unable to put the ball into the net. Seniors Rosie Bandura (West Seneca), Maura Higgins (Buffalo) and Amelia Lalley (Buffalo) ended stellar careers.
