Yí lù píng ān!
Safe travels to members of our Mercy community as they embark on an incredible journey to China!
Mercy Art Teacher Jenna Katalinich is leading four talented students, Senior Raeann Pytlewski, Juniors Tessa Freedenberg and Faith Michalovic, and Sophomore Julianna Held, on a once-in-a-lifetime experience at the Jingdezhen Art Camp. Sponsored by EdCo, The Education Collaborative of Western New York, this immersive program brings together students from across WNY and China for a truly global learning adventure.
Located in the world-renowned “Porcelain Capital,” the Jingdezhen Art Camp offers students the opportunity to dive deeply into Chinese culture and artistry through hands-on studio workshops with master artisans, visits to cultural and historical landmarks, and meaningful collaboration with peers and educators from around the world.
This experience is a perfect reflection of Mercy’s mission to foster a global community and inspire learning beyond the classroom. Opportunities like this empower our students to grow as artists, scholars, and global citizens.
We are so proud of Ms. Katalinich and these students for embracing this journey, and we can’t wait to see all they learn, create, and experience along the way!
