Honoring our Mercy Community!
Mount Mercy Academy and our Alumnae Association was incredibly proud to recognize the recipients of our 24th annual Mercy Honors Awards on Thursday night. It was a truly beautiful evening filled with positivity, gratitude and joy. Our honorees are not only deserving, each one of them is a true inspiration, giving themselves to their community, excelling to the highest levels in their careers, and doing all of it humbly and following the Mercy mission. Like Catherine McAuley, leadership, integrity and compassion are at the center of their lives.
Congratulations to these amazing honorees! The Catherine McAuley Distinguished Alumna Award recipients: Donna Manaher Beiter ’67, Robyn Cleary Brady ’98 and Nancy Napora Hammond ’84. The Spirit of Mercy Award recipients: Sharon Lillis McCormick ’82 and Patrick and Paula Scarcello ’71 Fitzgerald. And the Sister Sally Walz Memorial Award recipient: Rosemarie Sheehan McHugh ’74. You have inspired us all!
Huge thank you to our student speaker - Senior Nola Marrero. Nola gave an incredible speech about how Mercy has impacted her and prepared her for a successful future. A gifted public speaker, Nola finished by sharing her favorite Catherine McAuley quote, perfect for the evening - “The simplest and most practical lesson I know, is to resolve to be good today--but better tomorrow.”
A special thank you to our Mount Mercy Academy Alumnae Board and the Mercy Honors Committee. These women go above and beyond to create a truly special experience for our honorees and our guests. You are a gift to Mercy!
We are incredibly grateful to have our amazing honorees as part of our Mercy family. Mount Mercy and the entire community is blessed to have you! Congratulations!
