Congrats to Nola Marrero '26!

Congratulations to Mercy senior Nola Marrero!

Nola was recently awarded the Lt. Craig Lehner Scholarship, presented by Lt. Lehner’s family in partnership with the Buffalo Police Department. This scholarship honors students who demonstrate strong academic achievement, genuine financial need, athletic participation, active involvement in their community, and a commitment to pursuing studies in law enforcement, law, political science, or criminal justice after high school. Recipients must also meet high standards of integrity and responsibility — including at least a 3.0 GPA, a 90% attendance rate, strong teacher recommendations, and a thoughtful personal essay explaining why they are a deserving candidate.

Nola fulfilled every one of these rigorous requirements, and her selection reflects her dedication, work ethic, and service-minded goals. We are incredibly proud of Nola and all of her remarkable accomplishments!
