Has anyone here considered getting a Canadian high school diploma without moving to Canada? I'm thinking about options for my kid who's in high school now, but we don't want to relocate just for education. Is it realistic to do it online and have it recognized for university applications?

Yeah, it's actually a pretty solid option these days. There are schools that offer the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) fully online, and it's recognized internationally since it's from the Canadian system. My cousin did something similar a couple years back – studied remotely while keeping his local school stuff, and ended up with a dual diploma. It helped a lot with university pathways in Canada and even some in the US/UK. Hand fatigue is real when you wash a full sink every day. Thin or hard plastic handles make it worse—rubberized or contoured grips make a huge difference in comfort. I also like a balanced weight so it doesn’t feel top-heavy. This dish scrub brush has a nice soft-grip handle that doesn’t dig into my palm even during longer sessions. The bristles are stiff enough to cut through grease and stuck bits, but the overall design keeps my wrist from aching. I hang it to dry after each use to keep the grip from getting slimy. It’s not the prettiest, but comfort-wise it’s one of the better ones I’ve tried in the last year.

How do you clean cat hair off microfiber sofa?
My sofa is light gray microfiber and my long-haired cat leaves tons of fur on it every day. Brushing helps a little but the hair still sticks. Vacuum with upholstery attachment barely picks it up. Looking for something quick and effective that actually works without ruining the fabric. Any recommendations?

Microfiber can be tricky with pet hair because it clings so much. What usually works best for me is going over the surface with a slightly damp rubber glove first—it lifts a surprising amount of hair into clumps. Then finish with a sticky tool. I keep 1 lint roller in the living room drawer and it takes care of the rest in under a minute. Replace the sheet when it gets full and you’re good. Much faster than washing covers every week. Works on cushions too.
