Track & Field Shines at All-Catholics and Heads to States

Good luck and Congratulations to the Mount Mercy Track & Field team!

Coming off a huge 2nd place finish at All-Catholics this past weekend with 91 points, we couldn’t be prouder! Despite the cold weather, our athletes showed incredible grit, determination, and teamwork. Here are some standout performances from the meet:

 High Jump

 1st Place - Taylor Ferris – 4'9"

 2nd Place - Bella Lippert – 4'4"

 Triple Jump

 1st Place - Taylor Ferris – 33'7.5"

 Long Jump

 1st Place - Taylor Ferris – 15'11.75"

 Discus

 2nd Place - Isabelle Reaska – 94'10"

 Shot Put

 3rd Place - Isabelle Reaska – 29'1"

 4x800m Relay – 3rd place

Lauren Seifert, Leah McCrea, Abby McCarthy, Brynn Leonard – 11:03.57

 4x400m Relay – 2nd place

Grace Bannister, Leah McCrea, Brynn Leonard, Abby McCarthy – 4:37.41

 800m Run – 2nd place

Lauren Seifert – 2:38.69

 400m Dash – 3rd place

Abby McCarthy – 1:04.23

Even more exciting news: 15 members of the track & field team have traveled to New York City to compete at the NYS Catholic High School State Championship this Saturday, 5/24!

We are so proud of them and know they’ll represent Mount Mercy with heart, strength, and sportsmanship. Good luck and congratulations to all – we’re cheering you on from home!
