Congratulations to the Mount Mercy Academy Class of 2025 Top Students!
We are so proud to celebrate the incredible young women of the Class of 2025 who have excelled in academics, athletics, leadership, and service. These students have worked tirelessly over the past four years, and we can’t wait to see all the amazing things they’ll go on to do—they are truly ready to change the world!
As part of tradition, the student ranked 3rd in the class gives the reflection at Baccalaureate Mass. This year, we’re excited to announce a tie—both Amelia Cook and Kendall Markiewicz will speak and share their reflections.
Amelia Cook will attend the University of Georgia to major in English. She received a full scholarship to Mount Mercy, earned the highest entrance exam score, and is a National Honor Society member, McAuley Scholar, First Honors recipient, and AP Scholar. Her leadership includes Editor-in-Chief of both the Merciette and Mercienne, President of the Announcements Team, Student Government Class President, and Director of Mount Mercy Sparks.
Beyond the classroom, Amelia co-ran a three-year service project with Mercy Hospital and is a competitive swimmer. She coaches younger swimmers, lifeguards in the summer, and serves as a Niagara Athlete Representative. Amelia says, “I try to put my absolute best into everything I do and fully pursue everything I am passionate about.”
Kendall Markiewicz will attend Nazareth College to study Occupational Therapy. She is a First Honors student, McAuley Scholar, and member of NJHS and NHS. Kendall received the Fruits of the Spirit Award for her dedication to the Our Lady of Victory Service Club, where she is now a junior board member.
Her involvement includes Student Government, Spirit of Mercy Committee, Announcements Team, Book Club, Leadership Academy, Student Ambassador, Science and Healthcare Academy, Art Club, and Art Academy. She’s also a member of the Soccer and Track teams. Kendall shares, “Service has always been an important and meaningful part of my life.”
Congratulations to Amelia, Kendall, and the entire Class of 2025!
