Mount Mercy Track & Field Shines!
Congratulations to Junior Taylor Ferris, who was named First Team All-Catholic for Mercy Track & Field! Taylor earned this prestigious honor by taking 1st place in three events - high jump, triple jump, and long jump - at the All-Catholic Meet in May. An incredible achievement! We are so proud of Taylor’s hard work, dedication, and excellence throughout the season.
Mercy at States!
The Mount Mercy Track & Field Team made a powerful showing at the Catholic High School State Championships in New York City, sending 14 athletes to compete. After a season of tireless effort, it was an unforgettable experience for this talented group. We couldn’t be prouder!
Standout State Performances:
Taylor Ferris:
High Jump: 5th place overall (all classes), 1st in Class C
Triple Jump: 4th place overall (all classes), 1st in Class C
Lauren Seifert:
800m: 1st place in Class C
Both Taylor and Lauren have qualified for the NYS Federation Track & Field Championships to be held on June 14th! These athletes will represent Mount Mercy against the best from NYSPHSAA, PSAL, CHSAA, and AIS. What a phenomenal accomplishment!

Congratulations to Izzy Reaska and Abby McCarthy, who have also earned spots as alternates for the NYS Federation meet. An amazing recognition of their skill and determination!
