One of the final milestones for Mount Mercy Academy seniors is the Alumnae Induction Ceremony, a cherished tradition that marks their official transition from students to alumnae. In a heartfelt celebration, the seniors take the stage alongside Mercy alumnae—including alum mothers—united in the spirit of the Circle of Mercy. Through shared prayers and reflections, they are reminded of the enduring bond that connects over 12,000 Mercy alumnae across generations. In the spirit of Catherine McAuley, the founder of the Sisters of Mercy, the seniors lit candles and passed the light among themselves and the alumnae, symbolizing their commitment to be "shining lamps, giving light to all." It was a beautiful and moving ceremony, rich with meaning and tradition. Welcome, Class of 2025, to the circle of extraordinary Mercy women—you are forever part of the Mercy legacy.
