The Call from the Heart: Help a Girl's Dream Take Flight
At this year’s McAuley, our hearts were moved by a special moment—The Call from the Heart, a powerful fundraising initiative dedicated to supporting the Circle of Mercy Scholarship. This full-tuition scholarship gives deserving young women the opportunity to attend Mount Mercy Academy—a place that becomes more than just a school. It becomes a home. A place to grow, thrive, and become the confident leaders our world needs.
Freshman Yemayah Roberts delivered a heartfelt speech at the gala, sharing how the Circle of Mercy Scholarship made her dream of attending Mount Mercy—a dream she’s had since seventh grade—a reality. Her words were filled with gratitude, reminding us that behind every donation is a life transformed.
“I never thought as a shy seventh grader, who quite frankly couldn’t even look my teachers in the eye, I would ever be able to speak in front of such a large crowd. And now I stand before you today more confidence, and a fuller heart than I ever thought I could ever have. I stand with friends, with family, with a home away from my own home. Mercy has given me more than I ever thought it would, it gave me a place to be someone”
Your donation changes lives. It opens doors to exceptional educational opportunities for girls who might otherwise be left behind. It helps continue the legacy of the Circle of Mercy, ensuring that every girl with a dream has the chance to achieve it.
If you haven’t given yet, there’s still time. You can help girls like Yemayah. Donate today—your impact will last a lifetime.
