Cheap grease splatter guard vs decent one – difference?
Saw grease splatter guards from $10 to $30+. Is there actually a big quality gap or do the cheap ones do the job fine? Don't want to overspend but also don't want junk that breaks fast.

Huge gap, sadly. The $10 ones are usually thin mesh that warps after a few uses, handles get loose or hot, and they rust quickly. I burned through three cheap ones before switching to a thicker stainless version – it's heavier, mesh holds shape, rim is reinforced, and handle stays comfortable. It catches grease better too because the weave is consistent. Cleans in seconds, no scrubbing needed. After over a year it's still like new. If you fry often, spend a bit more for something that lasts years instead of months. This one feels premium without crazy price – grease splatter guard . Solid upgrade.
