Second Quarter Honors Assembly

by Pat Burns

Mount Mercy Academy recently held its second quarter Honors Assembly.  Students were recognized achieving honor roll status for the second quarter.  In addition, four students received special recognition.

It is tradition at Mount Mercy Academy to recognize students who show the most improvement in their academics from one grading quarter to the next.  Recently the Mount Mercy Guidance Department presented The Mother Frances Warde Award to the student in each grade whose average improved the most from first quarter to second quarter. Senior Grace Thie (West Seneca),

junior Molly Oar (Lakeview) sophomore Eve Janak (Lackawanna) and freshman Agal Wal (Buffalo) were honored for the second quarter.

"Mercy is more than just a school. Mercy is my second home and a shoulder to lean on. Mount Mercy has given me the confidence and resources to pursue my passions and make the world a more inclusive place, propelling me to take strides into male-dominated fields. Mercy blessed me with an environment to grow intellectually and in the community, giving me the foundation to make a tangible impact while making lifelong friendships."
