Six Mount Mercy Fall Athletes Attain Recognition


                Recently six seniors from Mount Mercy Academy were honored as Honorable Mention Western New York Scholar Athletes for the fall season.  These six students were selected from all of the senior male and female athletes from both public and private schools throughout Western New York. To be nominated, the athlete must have achieved a 90 plus average for the previous six semesters and been a starter or significant player in their fall sport.

                Honored from the Mount Mercy Golf team was Kathryn Bednarz of Buffalo.  Angelina Larivey and Rheanna Welsh of Lackawanna and Megan Jozwiak of Springville, members of the cross country team were also recognized.  Emily Kessler of West Seneca and Megan Reilly of Buffalo, from the soccer team also were Honorable Mention Western New York Scholar Athletes for the fall season.
