Mount Mercy Basketball Players Named All-Catholic

Two juniors from the Mount Mercy Academy Varsity Basketball team were recently recognized as All-Catholics. Hannah Fredo of Buffalo and Emily Kessler of West Seneca were named A League All-Catholics for the 2020 season. It is the first selection for both players.
Fredo was the team’s leading scorer and rebounder. A center, Fredo averaged a double-double, 13.5 points and 11 rebounds per game. In addition she added two blocks per game. Her season bests were 31 points against Emerson and 22 rebounds against Nichols. Fredo was the MVP of the Kenmore West tournament, which the Magic won and was a member of the All-Tournament Team in the Wilson Tournament. She is a three year varsity team member.
Kessler, the team’s second leading scorer and rebounder, was an Honorable Mention Selection. A forward, Kessler contributed nine points and seven rebounds per game. She had a personal best of 19 points against Orchard Park and a season best 13 rebounds against Sacred Heart and Nardin.
