Three Mount Mercy Bowlers Named All-Catholic

Three members of Mount Mercy’s Varsity Bowling team were named All-Catholic this year.  The team finished the season in second place with a 43-13 record.

Junior Olivia Coleman (Lackawanna) repeated as a First Team All-Catholic, earning honors for the second straight year.  Coleman had the highest average in the league, a 150. Freshman Jenna Angle (Lackawanna) was a second team All-Catholic, finishing with a 130 average.  Senior Allysyn Pajek (West Seneca) was also a second team All-Catholic, ending the year with an average of 129.

With four of the top five bowlers returning next year, Coach Fred Kirisits is expecting another strong year from his squad.

"Mount Mercy has taught me some of the most important things in my life and I am so grateful for that. I know that incorporating the principles of a woman of Mercy has made me the best version of myself. I can only hope that in the future, I will continue to grow and teach others the valuable lessons that I was taught at Mount Mercy. While I have learned so many things here, the greatest thing by far that I have learned is that DNA does not always make a family, love makes a family and that is exactly what I have gained here, a second family."
