Mount Mercy Cross Country Team Running For Success

The Mount Mercy Cross Country team is counting on the experience of three juniors who return to the team for their third season.  The returning runners are Grace Harrington (West Seneca) Bella Morcelle (West Seneca) and Megan Jobson (Orchard Park).  As a freshman, Harrington placed sixth at the All-Catholic Meet, earning First Team All-Catholic Honors.  Newcomers to the team are sophomore Megan Jozwiak (Springville) and junior Katie Hughes (Orchard Park).

Coach Bob Walsh returns for his fourth year as the team’s coach and he believes “the team has the heart, effort and dedication to persevere and be successful.”  The team opens its season against Nichols and Sacred Heart on September 25th

"Mount Mercy has taught me some of the most important things in my life and I am so grateful for that. I know that incorporating the principles of a woman of Mercy has made me the best version of myself. I can only hope that in the future, I will continue to grow and teach others the valuable lessons that I was taught at Mount Mercy. While I have learned so many things here, the greatest thing by far that I have learned is that DNA does not always make a family, love makes a family and that is exactly what I have gained here, a second family."
