McAuley Gala Planning Underway
by cnewman
Jane and Michael O'Sullivan, along with Fred and Lisa
Kirisits, will be co-chairs of this year's Mount Mercy Academy's 2014
McAuley Gala scheduled for Saturday, April 5. This year's theme will be
"The Roaring Twenties and all that Jazz".
Prior to gala night
several gift gathering and fundraising parties are planned in support of
Mercy's largest event night of the year. The purpose of the parties are
to give an opportunity for parents, alumni and friends of Mt. Mercy to
join together in celebration of MMA while supporting the McAuley Gala.
Recently
the Alumnae Association planned a gift gathering luncheon at Curly's
Bar and Grill. The luncheon produced a great collection of items that
will be used for auctions and raffles at the upcoming gala.
Special
raffle items will include a Vera Bradley 6-piece collection set, a
$1000 shopping spree to the mall of your choice, four 100 level tickets
to the Sabres game on April 8, large flat-screen TVs and other great
prizes.
Also available will be an exclusive "Lady Gaga Night"
which will include four prime location tickets to the concert, along
with dinner and transportation. Additional great surprise auction items
are in the works.
The McAuley Gala helps to support the scholarship and academic programs at MMA.
With
Fred Kirisits, the MMA Music Director, serving as one of the
co-chairpersons for this year's "Roaring Twenties" McAuley Gala the
event is sure to be a roaring good time filled with ragtime music,
Charleston dancing and all that jazz.
Start shopping for your
double-breasted suit and flapper dress and save the date for this year's
gala scheduled for Saturday, April 5.
