Palisano Learning Lab

The mission of the Mount Mercy Academy Learning Lab is to provide centralized, coordinated, and accessible services designed to enhance individual learning and in-class performance for all students.  The Learning Lab operates with the commitment to provide opportunities which promote academic success for each student and to foster the essential qualities which are integral to the student in reaching her highest potential.

The goals of the Learning Lab include:

  • Providing academic support to assist students as they work toward the goal of academic excellence, one of the Hallmarks of a Mercy Education.  Opportunities offered include structured study halls, assistance with study skills, and tutoring in all subject areas

  • Providing accommodations for any student having an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or 504 Plan.

Students are able to access the services of the Learning Lab through referrals made by the School Counseling Department, a teacher, a parent, or by the request of the student herself.

"Mount Mercy has taught me some of the most important things in my life and I am so grateful for that. I know that incorporating the principles of a woman of Mercy has made me the best version of myself. I can only hope that in the future, I will continue to grow and teach others the valuable lessons that I was taught at Mount Mercy. While I have learned so many things here, the greatest thing by far that I have learned is that DNA does not always make a family, love makes a family and that is exactly what I have gained here, a second family."
