WHAT IS THE ANNUAL FUND?
The annual fund is the cornerstone of giving to Mount Mercy Academy. As with most private schools, tuition does not cover the full 
cost of educating our students. Each year the Annual Fund is an indispensable part of the school's operating budget, enabling the school to fulfill its commitment to faculty salaries and academic programs. This support from those closest to Mount Mercy is a valuable endorsement of the school's mission. Supporting the annual fund allows Mount Mercy Academy to maintain our standard of excellence.
It is called the Annual fund because the fund needs to be renewed and replenished each year.
The 2010 Appeal
For the first time in Mount Mercy's 103 year history, the Academy is conducting a capital campaign to raise $2,000,000 to improve the facility and build the endowment. For this year only, we are asking that all Mercy alumnae, alumnae parents, currents parents and friends consider a combined gift to support both the Annual Fund and the Capital Campaign. Every gift is important and we do appreciate your giving at the level you are able.

Gifts of Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds
Giving long-term appreciated stock offers you a two-fold saving. First, you avoid paying any capital gains tax on the increase in value of your stock. In addition, you receive a tax deduction for the full fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift.

Gifts-In-Kind
Businesses and individuals can give gifts of equipment, inventory, materials and services. Not only do you support education but you can receive tax deductions as well. Mount Mercy Academy has a Wish List that may include a piece of technology equipment, furniture or other item you no longer need. Mount Mercy also accepts gifts to be used as auction items at our golf tournament. For more information contact:
