MISSION STATEMENT

The Mount Mercy Academy Counseling Department holds sacred the worth and dignity of each individual, and without question we respect, value and care for all whom we serve. As counselors, we see the possibilities in each student. Counseling is a serious venture and the one skill which in performance qualifies the counselors among their colleagues. The members of this department endeavor to carry out the school’s mission. As developmental specialists, we strive to encourage students to become more effective learners by facilitating their psychological, social, educational and vocational growth.

Mount Mercy Academy is pleased to announce its purchase of Peterson’s StudentEdge for all high school students. StudentEdge gives you access to test preparation, college searches, scholarship search, financial aid tools, a career assessment, and a resume builder—all in one location and totally free! Even 9th grade students can get a head start on the planning with the online practice tests and career assessment. You can access StudentEdge by going to

SAT PREP COURSE

Mount Mercy Academy has partnered with Atlas Test Prep to offer SAT Prep Courses at MMA! Students will have the opportunity to learn the skills and strategies needed to obtain excellent scores on the SAT exam! There will be classes offered at MMA in the 2009-2010 school year.
